The journal revival in Eastern Europe
The events of the last months have altered – sometimes radically – the panorama of journals in the countries of Eastern Europe : many new titles have appeared in all domains, publications which were still « dissident » a few months ago are now officially recognized, competition is present, and debates take place. If the various texts published below do not aim at presenting all the current transformations in the sphere of Eastern European journals, they allow us to grasp – from investigations and information on new journals in Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Czechoslovakia and Rumania – some original and significant developments.
