Enquiry about new human and social science journals (1985-1990)
This article presents the main results of a quantitative enquiry (print-runs, publication frequency, juridical and editorial structures) and a qualitative one (titles, intellectual projects, editorial forms) on 97 human and social science journals created in France between 1985 and 1990. This enquiry allows the tracing of the editorial and scientific profile of these new journals, the highlighting of the principle stakés of their creation, the evaluation of the evolutions which they have engendered : criticism of knowledge holding, multi-disciplinary aims, attention to the form, interest for minority cultures, the end of the famous theoretical patterns, etc.
