This piece traces the tradition of cultural journals in Denmark. The first article takes an historical look at and questions the complex and ambiguous relationship between the press and the journals. The second offers a panoramic view of literary journals in the 80s : having no specific literary battle to fight, the appearance of modernism which these journals give, according to the author of the article, is based solely on the youth and eclectic tastes of their founders. The present situation and the Danish association’s projects for cultural journals conclude the piece.
